Hosted by LACI
The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator is hosting an information session with representatives from California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development (CalSEED) and Caltech’s FLOW and Rocket Fund programs to discuss how entrepreneurs can receive non-dilutive seed funding for their early-stage clean energy concepts.
CalSEED will soon begin accepting applications for the five-year $24 million California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development (CalSEED) program. Funded by the California Energy Commission via the Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC), CalSEED is a grant and entrepreneur development program targeting innovators working to bring clean energy concepts to market. Awardees can receive up to $150,000 for proof-of-concept activities and will have the opportunity to pitch their innovations for up to an additional $450,000 in follow-on funding.
Caltech’s FLOW Rocket Fund offers recipients $10,000 - $75,000 in grant funding for sustainability-related lab innovations, and was created in partnership with the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council and the Moxie Foundation.
While we encourage everyone to attend in person, we will also provide web conferencing details for those who register and would like to attend remotely.
