Managing Director –  California We are looking for an experienced executive to join us as the Managing Director to lead New Energy Nexus California. The Managing Director’s responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans, overseeing the current California programs of New Energy Nexus, and driving organizational success and growth as the programs grow. Reporting to the global CEO, the California Managing Director will be a key leader within the global New Energy Nexus organization and will be accountable for a $3+M annual operational budget, $10+M annual investments into clean energy startups, and a team of 12 staff.

Grants Management Associate As the Grants Management Associate you will carry out general administrative support, invoicing and reporting requirements for the California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development Initiative (CalSEED) program. Through nearly $40M, the CalSEED program funds clean energy entrepreneurs across California and is expected to grant awards to over 200 entrepreneurs by 2027. The person in this role will help support the CalSEED team in the grants life-cycle from application to contracts, contributing to the release of funds to awardees and monitoring active grants to ensure the adequate reporting and usage of state issued funds are being met. The Grants Management Associate also produces standard and ad hoc reports about the organization’s grant making for organizational-wide use. This position also periodically includes special projects relating to other aspects of the organization’s work such as preparing information for donors and peer organizations within the CA ecosystem.

Program Manager for Clean Energy Initiative  The Program Manager for a Clean Energy Initiative will bring diverse early-stage clean energy entrepreneurs into the CalSEED (California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development Initiative) grant program and support entrepreneurs to build diversity, equity and inclusion into their companies. The aim is to strengthen the grant program by providing equity guidance; to build a more diverse and inclusive cleantech sector; to train and coach cohorts of early stage cleantech companies that embed diversity, equity and inclusion into their start-ups and companies; and to increase access and opportunity for historically marginalized communities to apply for CalSEED grants. This role will work closely with the program administrator (New Energy Nexus), external partners and California Energy Commission staff.

This role would be a part of the Greenlining Institute team and work closely with CalSEED.

Impact and Reporting Manager We are seeking an experienced creative and quantitative professional to lead the Monitoring & Evaluation for the California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development Initiative (CalSEED). The individual in this role will guide and oversee all aspects of CalSEED’s impact and reporting requirements and manage impact evaluations, design and facilitate learning within the team and with partners. The Impact & Reporting manager will conduct data analysis, prepare data visuals and brief reports, communicate results, and ensure our ability to continue to track progress on core deliverables, as well as iterate upon on existing high-impact metrics to inform our reporting, storytelling and general strategic communication efforts within and beyond CalSEED.
