Summation Lab

Summation Lab is developing a multi-stage gasifier system that transforms biomass like wood chips and almond shells to renewable energy in the form of a fuel gas (syngas) and electricity without incinerating the biomass. Their innovation can process low grade biomass with high fines (up to 20%) and moisture content (up to 40%) to produce renewable energy in a cost-effective manner compared to existing gasification technologies. Their multi-stage gasifier, as a result, will be less capital intensive, can reliability convert biomass with high fines and moisture content, can be located at the source of biomass to minimize transport, create a “tar-free” clean syngas that can be transformed to renewable energy, and reduce GHG emissions reliably and cost effectively.
